Ouster and Fujifilm Collaborate to Enhance Lidar Technology with Color Science
Ouster, Inc., a leader in sensing and perception for Physical AI, has announced a collaboration with FUJIFILM Corporation to develop the world's first native color lidar. This new technology integrates Fujifilm's color science into Ouster's Rev8 OS family of digital lidar sensors, combining high-resolution 3D depth information with exquisite native color data. The collaboration allows for the integration of Fujifilm's organic color filters into Ouster's digital lidar architecture, enhancing the spectral performance and ensuring high-fidelity color capture. This advancement aims to redefine lidar as a multi-modal sensor, moving beyond simple depth perception to capture the world in megapixel color resolution.
