Costco and Other Retailers Recall Sauté Pans Due to Safety Hazard
A recall has been issued for a pair of popular sauté pans sold at Costco, Walmart.com, and other retailers after reports emerged of a safety hazard. The Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue Stainless Sauté Pans, manufactured by E Mishan, have been found to have a defect where the metal cap on the handle can eject forcefully when heated. This defect has led to at least 98 reported incidents, including one case where a consumer sustained bruising and burn injuries. Approximately 740,000 units are affected by this recall. The pans were sold in a 2-piece set, with sizes of 10 inches and 11.5 inches, and were available both in physical stores and online. Consumers are advised to stop using the pans immediately and contact E Mishan for a full refund, as per the notice posted on the U.S. Consumer Product and Safety Commission website.
