Houston Bakery Owner Faces Third Burglary Amid Cancer Battle
The Bearded Baker, a well-known bakery in Houston Heights, was burglarized for the third time, coinciding with owner Allan Hursig's first chemotherapy session for colon cancer. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m., with three suspects breaking in, as captured by surveillance footage. The burglars caused more damage than the value of items stolen, taking only a speaker and a tub of peanut butter. Despite the setback, Hursig remains optimistic about his cancer treatment, having caught the disease early. The local community has shown strong support, helping him maintain a positive outlook.
