Next City Vanguards 2026: Chicago Hosts Rising Urban Leaders
Next City has announced its 2026 class of Vanguards, a group of 41 rising urban leaders who will convene in Chicago for an annual conference. These individuals, working across sectors such as urban planning, policy, and economic development, aim to improve cities through innovative solutions. The conference will explore themes of community wealth building and address the gap between America's promises and the realities faced by marginalized communities. Participants will engage in workshops, presentations, and neighborhood tours to share and develop strategies for urban improvement.
