DePaul Athletics Kicks Off Academic Year with Wintrust Blankets Community Service Project
DePaul Athletics has initiated its annual Wintrust Blankets service project, marking the 13th consecutive year for this department-wide event. This initiative is the largest service project undertaken by DePaul Athletics, excluding Vincentian Service Day. The program is integrated into the student-athlete orientation, serving to introduce new Blue Demons to DePaul's commitment to community service and its potential impact within Chicago. During the recent student-athlete orientation, nearly 100 blankets were created. These blankets will be donated by first-year student-athletes to the St. Vincent de Paul Center, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families in need. The project is designed to continue throughout the academic year, reinforcing the institution's dedication to community engagement.
