Laverock Therapeutics Secures £2.2M in Grants to Expand AI-Powered Gene-Control Platform
Laverock Therapeutics has been awarded over £2.2M through two innovation grants to support the development of its AI-powered gene-control platform and expand therapeutic programs beyond oncology. These grants will enable Laverock to scale its platform within a T-cell product context and expand macrophage-based programs into non-oncology indications. The funding provides validation for Laverock's technology, which has demonstrated efficacy across various therapeutic applications, including programmed T-cells for solid tumors and hypoimmunogenic pancreatic islet cells for Type-1 diabetes. The grants will facilitate rapid prototyping and evaluation using patient-derived models, enhancing the platform's ability to program myeloid cell phenotypes and control therapeutically relevant payloads.
