Robert Allan Ltd. Unveils RApide 1800 Design for Brazilian Bunkering Operations
Robert Allan Ltd., in collaboration with Indústria Naval Catarinense Ltda. (INC), has developed a new pushboat design, the RApide 1800, to support Transpetro's bunkering operations in Brazil. This marks the first time Robert Allan Ltd. has designed vessels for Transpetro, a subsidiary of Petrobras, as part of a newbuild program for pushboats and barges in the fuel logistics market. The vessels are designed to provide maneuverability and operational reliability for bunkering support and barge handling in Brazilian ports. Key features include a length of 18.7 meters, a breadth of 9.2 meters, and a draft of 3.7 meters. The propulsion system consists of Z-drive thrusters powered by high-speed marine diesel engines, ensuring optimal control in restricted waterways. The vessels will be classed with Bureau Veritas and comply with Brazilian inland navigation requirements.
