Light Physical Activity Reduces Stroke Risk in AFib Patients, Study Shows
A study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association has found that even light physical activity can significantly lower the risk of stroke and death in individuals with atrial fibrillation (AFib). The research involved over 87,000 adults and demonstrated that small amounts of physical activity were associated with a reduced risk of stroke over a 15-year period. The study highlights the importance of incorporating physical activity into treatment plans for AFib patients, despite common symptoms like heart palpitations and fatigue that may discourage exercise.
