MedEx Returns to New Jersey Amid Israel's Doctor Shortage
Israel is facing a significant shortage of physicians, prompting the return of MedEx to New Jersey. MedEx is part of the International Medical Aliyah Program (IMAP), which aims to streamline the licensing and credentialing process for doctors immigrating to Israel. This initiative is a collaboration between Nefesh B’Nefesh, the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, the Ministry of Health, and other organizations. The program assists doctors in obtaining Israeli medical licenses and finding employment in areas where they are most needed. MedEx events have been held globally, including in cities like Los Angeles, Paris, and London, drawing hundreds of physicians. The program has already facilitated the immigration of over 1,000 doctors to Israel, with a goal of bringing 2,000 by 2029.
