ProVeg China Webinar Series Addresses NeoProtein Development Challenges
ProVeg China, in collaboration with Jiangnan University, concluded a three-part webinar series focusing on the technical barriers in NeoProtein development. The series attracted over 10,000 participants from various sectors, including research institutions, universities, and industry. This initiative was part of the NeoProtein Innovation Center of Excellence's efforts to address China's core technical gaps in plant-based, microbial, and cultivated protein. The webinars were structured around the 'Top 10 Technical Challenges in NeoProtein 2025 Blue Paper,' a document developed with input from 48 scientists. The sessions covered microbial protein, plant-based protein, and cultivated protein, highlighting obstacles such as safety, cell line development, and scalability.
