Central US Faces Multi-Day Storm Threat Into Mid-April
Severe storms will impact the central U.S. from Thursday through early next week, bringing repeated rounds of heavy rain and strong thunderstorms from Texas to the Great Lakes. The threat will increase into the weekend (Saturday–Sunday) with damaging winds, hail and a few tornadoes possible. By Monday–Tuesday, continued storms may heighten flooding risks, especially in already saturated areas. Rainfall totals of 1–4 inches, with locally up to 6 inches, are expected.
