France Intercepts Sanctioned Tanker in Atlantic for False Flag Operations
French authorities have intercepted a sanctioned crude oil tanker, the Tagor, suspected of sailing under a false flag. The tanker was stopped over 400 nautical miles west of Brittany while en route from Murmansk, Russia, purportedly heading to Cameroon. The vessel, managed from the UAE, has been under scrutiny for false flag operations, previously listed under flags of Guinea and Madagascar. The French Navy is escorting the tanker to Brest, France, for further investigation. This marks the fourth interception of a shadow fleet tanker by France since September 2025.
