US Cybersecurity Firm Cybastion to Develop Data Center in Côte d'Ivoire Following State Visit
Côte d'Ivoire has approved several significant projects following a visit by US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Frank R. Garcia. Among these is the authorization for US cybersecurity company Cybastion to undertake a $170 million project, financed by the US Export-Import Bank, to build a sovereign national data center. This initiative also includes the development of a government digitization platform and a smart border surveillance system. The visit also facilitated the approval of Starlink's operations in the country, aiming to expand broadband internet services to underserved areas. Additionally, the ABD Group has agreed to proceed with a $293 million healthcare infrastructure project, marking the first major implementation under a $570 million infrastructure framework agreement with the Ivoirian government.
