Taylor Farms Linked to Cyclosporiasis Outbreak in Five States
Taylor Farms, a California-based produce supplier, is allegedly linked to a cyclosporiasis outbreak affecting five states. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are investigating the outbreak, which is connected to shredded iceberg lettuce served at Taco Bell locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia. Over 1,644 people have reported illness after consuming the lettuce. Taco Bell has removed the potentially contaminated produce from its supply chain. Taylor Farms has stated that no branded salads or kits are associated with the outbreak.
