California Residents Urged to Evacuate as Springs Wildfire Expands
Thousands of residents in California have been advised to evacuate due to the rapidly expanding Springs fire, which has grown to over 4,000 acres with 45 percent containment. The fire, driven by strong winds and dry conditions, threatens densely populated areas in Moreno Valley and nearby regions. Over 260 personnel, supported by aircraft and other resources, are actively working to contain the blaze. Mandatory evacuation orders are in place for several zones, and Valley View High School is serving as an evacuation center. The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory, and air quality has deteriorated, prompting health advisories and campus closures.
