Bill Gates' Emails Excluded from Epstein Review, Foundation Cleared of Wrongdoing
An external review by WilmerHale cleared the Gates Foundation of any wrongdoing in its ties to Jeffrey Epstein, but notably did not include Bill Gates' personal emails. The review, which involved over 50 interviews, found that Gates and foundation staff met with Epstein about 30 times between 2011 and 2014. These meetings focused on a potential public health fund and a grant to the International Peace Institute. Despite warnings from employees about reputational risks, the foundation did not pursue the fund. The review found no evidence of illegal activity or payments to Epstein.
