Severe Weather Causes Tornadoes and Flash Flooding Across Midwest
Severe weather has swept across the Midwest, causing significant damage and disruptions. Tornadoes, heavy rainfall, and flash flooding have been reported from Illinois to western Pennsylvania. The National Weather Service confirmed three tornadoes south of Chicago, while flood warnings and flash flood watches remain in effect across multiple states, including Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. The storms have left over 650,000 customers without power and caused widespread damage to homes, roads, and infrastructure. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine described the flooding in some areas as 'historic,' with emergency crews conducting numerous water rescues.
