USDA Issues Recall for Frozen Pizzas at Walmart and Aldi Due to Salmonella Risk
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced a recall of several frozen pizza products sold at Walmart and Aldi due to potential salmonella contamination. The recall affects various meat and poultry products that contain FDA-regulated dairy ingredients, which may be contaminated. Products include Mama Cozzi’s frozen pizzas from Aldi and Great Value’s frozen pizzas from Walmart, with specific best buy dates. The FSIS has advised consumers to discard or return these products to the place of purchase. No adverse reactions have been reported so far, but the FSIS warns that salmonella can cause serious foodborne illness.
