Wind and Dust Advisory Issued for Coachella Festival in Indio
The Coachella music festival, held in Indio, California, has commenced with performances from Sabrina Carpenter and surprise guests. However, the event faces weather challenges as strong winds and dust have prompted advisories from weather agencies. The National Weather Service has warned of potential health risks due to particle pollution, which can exacerbate conditions such as asthma and heart disease. Despite these warnings, local air quality management has reported that pollution levels have remained within good to moderate ranges since Thursday noon. The festival, which attracts over 100,000 attendees daily, had to cancel a set by DJ Anyma due to the adverse weather conditions.
