BEML Unveils India's First Indigenous Electric Mining Truck, Promising Sustainable Solutions
BEML Ltd has launched India's first indigenous 35-ton payload electric dump truck, the BH35-2 EV, at its Mysuru Complex. This development marks a significant step towards sustainable mining and infrastructure solutions. The electric dump truck is designed to deliver high productivity with zero tailpipe emissions, aligning with India's ESG commitments and carbon reduction goals. The truck is powered by a high-efficiency Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor and is optimized for heavy-duty mining applications. It features a Regenerative Braking System for energy recovery and a Battery Thermal Management System for optimal temperature regulation. The vehicle promises substantial economic benefits, including significant savings in energy and operating costs.
