Bangladesh Passport Improves in Global Ranking but Remains Among Weakest
The Bangladesh passport has improved its position in the global passport ranking, climbing three places to 97th in the latest Henley Passport Index. Despite this improvement, it remains one of the weakest travel documents globally, offering visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to only 35 destinations. The index, which ranks passports based on the number of destinations accessible without a prior visa, highlights the limited mobility for Bangladeshi passport holders, who can primarily travel to countries in Asia and Africa without a visa. The report also notes that Singapore holds the top position, with visa-free access to 192 destinations, while Afghanistan ranks last.
