Tourism Surge: Saudi Arabia Leads Global Recovery, Europe Sees Mixed Results
New data reveals that Saudi Arabia has experienced the largest increase in international tourist arrivals since 2019, with a 67% growth. Other countries like Morocco, Egypt, and Brazil also saw significant gains. In Europe, countries such as Norway, Portugal, Spain, and France have returned to or exceeded pre-pandemic tourism levels. However, Germany and Italy experienced declines, while Ireland saw a substantial 32% drop. The data highlights the shifting dynamics in global tourism, with the Middle East and North Africa emerging as key growth regions.
