Yuma Announces Extensive Road Closures and Construction Projects Through December 2026
The City of Yuma has announced a series of road construction and utility projects that will impact traffic flow across the city, with some closures extending for up to 12 months. A significant closure involves 3rd Street, which will be shut down from Gila Street to Maiden Street, and Gila Street, closed from Giss Parkway to 3rd Street, for the Hotel Del Sol Project. These closures are expected to last for a year. Additionally, an ADOT contractor will install ADA ramps and a HAWK pedestrian beacon on Avenue C between 20th Street and 24th Street, leading to intermittent partial lane closures and sidewalk closures until September. Mesquite Avenue will see waterline and pavement replacement between Catalina Drive and Arizona Avenue, requiring closures on Coronado Avenue with resident access maintained.
