EU Business Travel Leaders Discuss Sustainable Travel Initiatives
A high-level roundtable in Brussels, organized by the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), brought together EU policymakers and business travel leaders to discuss sustainable travel initiatives. The focus was on the forthcoming Sustainable Tourism Strategy, the EU's first comprehensive policy framework for tourism. Discussions included the role of business travel in achieving sustainability goals and the upcoming Single Digital Booking and Ticketing Regulation aimed at simplifying cross-border rail travel. The GBTA's Sustainability Acceleration Challenge was highlighted as a key initiative to reduce business travel emissions.
