Extreme Heat and Severe Storms Persist in Omaha Region
Dangerously high temperatures and humidity levels are expected to continue in Omaha, Nebraska, and surrounding areas on Monday, July 27, 2026. A First Alert 6 Weather Day has been declared, with feel-like temperatures potentially reaching up to 120°F (48.9°C). Actual high temperatures are forecasted to range from the upper 90s to low 100s (32-38°C). An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for the Omaha Metro area and points east until 10 p.m. CDT Monday. Southeastern Nebraska will experience slightly less severe conditions under a Heat Advisory. Additionally, isolated to scattered severe storms are anticipated late Sunday into the overnight hours, with damaging winds up to 75 mph and large hail as the primary threats.
