Metallica, through its All Within My Hands Foundation and the Metallica Scholars Initiative, has invested more than $17 million in the American workforce since 2019. The initiative, which began with $1 million across 10 community colleges, has expanded significantly. Currently, it supports 93 schools across all 50 states, serving over 13,000 students. For 2026 alone, $3.3 million has been committed to the program. The initiative focuses on various skilled trades, including welding, nursing, firefighting, pipefitting, automotive, aviation, and farming. James Hetfield, a member of Metallica, emphasized the importance of trade skills and the individuals learning them.
