Oklahoma Healthcare Fraud Scheme Uncovered in Nationwide DOJ Takedown
Federal prosecutors have charged two men from Lawton, Oklahoma, in a $27 million TRICARE fraud scheme as part of a nationwide healthcare fraud enforcement action. The men allegedly submitted over 650,000 fraudulent claims for CPAP machine services, receiving substantial reimbursements. Additionally, a civil lawsuit has been filed against an Oklahoma City speech-language pathologist for submitting false claims to Medicare and Medicaid. These cases are part of a broader Department of Justice initiative targeting healthcare fraud, involving 455 charges nationwide.
