Extreme Weather Influences Travel Decisions Globally
According to a recent report by Booking.com, extreme weather conditions are significantly impacting travel decisions worldwide. The study, which surveyed 32,500 travelers across 35 markets, reveals that 74% of respondents consider the risk of extreme weather when choosing their travel destinations and timing. This concern is shared across all age groups, with 68% actively avoiding destinations known for extreme weather. The unpredictability of weather patterns has led 31% of travelers to cancel or alter their travel plans in the past year. Additionally, 55% of travelers find extreme weather stressful when booking trips, and 52% have removed destinations from their wish lists due to reports of extreme weather or natural disasters.
