Danny Rojas, a Fort Worth native and Army veteran, has established TailoredVets, a nonprofit organization aimed at assisting service members in their transition to civilian careers. Rojas, who served as an E-6 Staff Sergeant in the United States Army from 2011-2021, experienced significant challenges himself when leaving the military. He noted that traditional veteran transition programs often provide outdated advice, leading to a disconnect with modern hiring practices. TailoredVets addresses this gap by offering one-on-one career coaching and resume mentorship, exclusively provided by corporate recruiters and hiring managers. The organization's pilot phase successfully placed all 11 participating veterans into jobs.
