CN and BHP Partner to Transport Potash, Enhancing North American Agricultural Supply Chain
Montreal-based CN, a company specializing in rail network and transportation services, has entered into a significant agreement with BHP, an Australian mining company, to transport potash from the Jansen Potash Mine in Saskatchewan to export terminals on Canada's West Coast. This collaboration is part of the initial production phase of the Jansen Potash Mine, which is one of the largest infrastructure investments in Saskatchewan's history. Potash, a key component in fertilizers, is expected to play a crucial role in global food production for decades. The agreement aims to connect Canadian resource producers to international markets, thereby supporting sustainable economic growth across the Prairies and throughout North America.
