Fort Smith Mayoral Race Features Seven Candidates, Ballot Order Set for November Election
Fort Smith, Arkansas, is preparing for its most crowded mayoral race in years, with seven candidates vying for the position in the November 3 municipal election. Sebastian County election officials have released the official ballot order, placing Nataylia Deer in the top spot. Following Deer are Shayne McKinney, Yvette C. Powers, Daniel Williams, Sara Harrison, Christina Catsavis, and Lee Kemp. Notably, the two current members of the Fort Smith Board of Directors seeking the mayor's office, Christina Catsavis (at-large director) and Lee Kemp (Ward 2 Director), drew the sixth and seventh positions, respectively. In addition to the mayoral contest, voters will also decide on candidates for City Director positions 5 and 6.
