Vancouver's Proposed 1,033-Foot Skyscraper to Feature Public 'Forest in the Sky'
A new architectural project in Vancouver aims to introduce the city's first supertall skyscraper, featuring a unique 'forest in the sky.' Designed by Henriquez Partners Architects for the Holborn Group, the development will include four towers, with the tallest reaching 1,033 feet. This project is set to bridge Vancouver's central business district with the Downtown Eastside. The tallest tower will house a hotel with a publicly accessible observation deck, designed as a 'forest in the sky,' offering panoramic views. The design incorporates a structural diagrid exoskeleton inspired by sea sponges, allowing for column-free interiors and efficient material use. The project is currently under review by the city.
