The Church of Scientology has heightened its security measures in response to a viral TikTok trend known as 'Scientology speedrunning.' This trend involves individuals, often in costumes, attempting to enter and quickly navigate through the Church's information center in Hollywood. The Los Angeles Police Department has responded to multiple incidents, some of which are being investigated as potential hate crimes. The Church has removed external door handles from its Hollywood Boulevard properties to prevent unauthorized access. A spokesperson for the Church described these actions as trespass and harassment, emphasizing that the facilities are meant to be peaceful spaces for parishioners and visitors.
