Adobe Lightroom CC Now Operational on Linux Thanks to Open-Source Efforts
An open-source developer, with the help of Claude Code, has successfully enabled Adobe Lightroom CC to run on Linux using Wine. This achievement involved using the latest Wine-Staging code, patching DLL files, and introducing new stub DLLs. While the software is operational, some dialogs may still cause crashes, and certain GPU-accelerated features are not fully functional. The developer has published a reproducible recipe on GitHub for those interested in running Adobe Lightroom CC on Linux.
