The upcoming 100th Greatest Homecoming on Earth (GHOE) celebration at North Carolina A&T is causing a significant increase in hotel and short-term rental prices in Greensboro. The event, expected to draw over 200,000 attendees, includes a parade, concert, and football game against Elon University. Official hotel blocks offered by the university sold out quickly, leading to high prices in the open market, with some rooms exceeding $800 per night. Greensboro officials have stated that such pricing is legal during special events.
