UK Prime Minister Addresses Concerns Over Rockstar Games' Employee Dismissals
Rockstar Games, the developer behind Grand Theft Auto 6, recently terminated over 30 employees, citing the leaking of confidential information as the reason. However, the Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain has labeled the action as 'union busting.' The issue has gained significant attention, prompting UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to express concern during a parliamentary session. Starmer emphasized the importance of adhering to labor laws and assured that the government would investigate the matter. The controversy arose when a meeting between MPs and Rockstar almost fell through due to a non-disclosure agreement, which was later retracted. Despite the meeting, MPs remain unconvinced about the legality and necessity of the dismissals.
