GSA Deputy Administrator Michael Lynch to Depart Government for Private Sector
Michael Lynch, the Deputy Administrator for the General Services Administration (GSA), is set to leave his position and return to the private sector. GSA Administrator Ed Forst announced Lynch's departure in an email to staff on Wednesday morning. Lynch joined the GSA in January 2025 as a senior advisor before becoming deputy administrator. During his tenure, he led initiatives to advance strategic priorities, strengthen internal operations oversight, and support mission delivery. He also played a key role in accelerating technology adoption within the GSA and across the federal government, focusing on efficiency and responsiveness. Lynch expressed pride in his contributions, including the GSA Labs, the Eliminate, Optimize and Automate (EOA) Playbook, the Million Hour Challenge, expanding OneGov agreements, and launching the USAi platform. His departure date has not been specified.
