President Trump Threatens New Tariffs as CUSMA Faces Uncertainty

President Trump has threatened to impose 50% tariffs on Canadian goods, citing discriminatory measures by Canada, including boycotts of American alcohol and retaliatory tariffs on U.S. vehicles. The Canadian American Business Council has highlighted the potential for job creation if the deal is successfully renegotiated, but warns of severe job losses if it fails.
