Animal Rescue Corps Rescues 86 Dogs and Two Kittens from Missouri Breeding Operations
The Animal Rescue Corps (ARC), a national nonprofit animal protection organization, recently conducted 'Operation Eclipse,' rescuing 86 dogs and two kittens from commercial breeding operations across multiple locations in southern Missouri. The animals were surrendered and transported to ARC's Rescue Center outside Nashville, Tennessee. The rescued dogs, which included breeds such as poodles, mini Australian shepherds, doodles, dachshunds, and English bulldogs, were generally in good physical condition but will undergo full veterinary exams and grooming. Many of the dogs are shy and uncertain, requiring patience and care to adjust to human contact. The two kittens had more serious medical needs; one had undergone surgery for an injured eye, and the other was found abandoned and partially blind. This operation follows ARC's continuous efforts, as they had just cared for over 100 animals from previous large-scale rescues before embarking on 'Operation Eclipse.'
