Study Reveals Gap Between Income and Happiness Levels in the United States
A recent analysis highlights a significant gap between average income and the 'price of happiness' in the United States. The study, which references research from Purdue University and data from the International Labour Organization (ILO), indicates that the average annual salary in the U.S. is $75,300, while the income level associated with maximum happiness is $134,800. This means that the average income only meets 55.8% of the happiness threshold. The analysis compares 50 countries, revealing that Slovenia is the only nation where average income exceeds the happiness benchmark.
