Tennessee Department of Tourist Development Launches 'Yeah, It's Real' Certification to Combat AI-Generated Travel Photos
The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development has introduced a new initiative called the 'Yeah, It's Real' certification. This program aims to address the growing concern over artificial intelligence (AI)-generated travel photos that often misrepresent destinations. The certification guarantees that photos bearing its mark are authentic and accurately reflect what travelers can expect when visiting Tennessee, ensuring they are not AI-generated. This move comes in response to a survey revealing that only 5% of travelers can correctly distinguish between real and AI-generated travel photos, despite 70% relying on visuals for trip planning and 74% being unwilling to book without seeing photos. The survey also indicated that over 70% of travelers arrive at a destination only to find it doesn't match the images they saw.
