Chinese Researchers Use Quantum Computing to Explore Riemann Hypothesis
A team of researchers in China has utilized quantum computing to investigate the Riemann hypothesis, a longstanding mathematical conjecture about the distribution of prime numbers. The team encoded the hypothesis into a quantum system, using a quantum algorithm to scan for zeros of the Riemann zeta function faster than classical computers. Although they have not yet found any new zeros, the experiment offers a new physical perspective on the hypothesis. The research aims to demonstrate the potential of quantum computing in solving complex mathematical problems.
