Calm to Moderate Marine Conditions Near Lake Michigan Shoreline
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a nearshore marine forecast for Lake Michigan, covering areas from Pentwater to South Haven, Michigan. Winds will generally remain light to moderate, starting from the east at 5-10 knots tonight and shifting to the northeast and north through Tuesday. Wave heights are expected to stay manageable, ranging from 1 to 3 feet. Sunny skies will dominate Tuesday, with mostly clear conditions persisting into the night. By Thursday, south winds will increase to 15-25 knots, leading to slightly rougher waters with waves building to 3-5 feet. Rain showers and thunderstorms are possible by the weekend.
