Savannah Resources Advances Barroso Lithium Project with First Equipment Purchase
Savannah Resources PLC has announced the purchase of the first piece of capital equipment for its Barroso Lithium Project in Portugal. This marks a significant milestone in the development of Europe's largest spodumene lithium deposit. The company is progressing with its Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS), expected to be completed by July. Savannah is also advancing its environmental licensing process, with plans to submit its RECAPE compliance study by Q4 2026. The company has engaged COBA, a Portuguese engineering firm, to enhance its water infrastructure plans. Despite an extended timeline for environmental licensing, Savannah aims to maintain its target for first production by 2028.
