Elbit Systems' FUSE to Supply THOR Drones to U.S. Army for Tactical Missions
Elbit Systems Ltd.'s FUSE division is set to supply its THOR Group 2 uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) to the U.S. Army. This initiative is part of a collaboration with Mistral Inc., following a contract awarded by the Army Contracting Command. The THOR system is a backpack-portable, rapidly deployable, and fully autonomous multirotor vertical takeoff and landing mini-drone. It is designed to support a range of company-level tactical missions, including reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition, communications relay, resupply, and limited cargo delivery. The system's modular payload integration allows for quick role changes in the field, enhancing its adaptability to evolving mission requirements. Avandra LLC, a U.S.-based subsidiary of Elbit Systems, will provide local training and technical support to ensure effective deployment and operation.
