Rhode Island Delegation Secures $1.71 Million in Federal Grants for Nonprofit Security
Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, alongside Representatives Gabe Amo and Seth Magaziner, announced that Rhode Island nonprofits and houses of worship will receive $1.71 million through the federal Nonprofit Security Grant Program. These funds are designated to enhance security measures for eligible organizations, covering upgrades such as locks, cameras, bulletproof glass, and security training. The delegation highlighted the high national demand for this program and emphasized their ongoing efforts in Congress to advocate for increased grant allocations to meet these needs.
