Consumer Reports has tested over 100 sunscreen products, evaluating their SPF (sun protection factor) and UVA protection. The tests revealed that some products do not meet their labeled SPF claims, but any sunscreen is better than none. Coppertone Water Babies Lotion SPF 50 and Eucerin Advanced Hydration Spray SPF 50 were top-rated in their respective categories. The report highlights the importance of using broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and reapplying every two hours. Lotions are generally preferred for even coverage, while sprays are convenient but may require careful application to ensure adequate protection.
