Ukraine Missile Maker Aims for Low-Cost Air Defense System by 2027
Fire Point, a Ukrainian missile manufacturer, is collaborating with European companies to develop a new air defense system by 2027. This system aims to provide a cost-effective alternative to the Patriot system, with the goal of reducing the cost of intercepting ballistic missiles to under $1 million. The initiative comes amid global instability due to conflicts in Ukraine and Iran. Fire Point is also seeking investment from a Middle Eastern conglomerate to expand its business opportunities, including satellite launches.
