Austin Police Detain Suspects in Connection with Weekend Shooting Spree
Austin, Texas, experienced a series of at least 10 random shootings over the weekend, resulting in four injuries. The Austin Police Department has detained two suspects, both male teenagers, while a third suspect was initially at large but later apprehended. The shootings, which appeared to be random, took place in various locations, including fire stations and residential areas. The suspects reportedly used multiple stolen vehicles during the spree. A shelter-in-place order was issued for a large part of South Austin but was lifted once the suspects were in custody.
