Australian Photography Awards 2026 Celebrates Diverse Artistic Expressions
The Australian Photography Awards 2026 introduced a single open category for the first time, encouraging a wide range of entries. The winning photographs include a portrait from Poppy Steer's series of trans and queer individuals at home, Tobias Titz's portrait of an emerging artist wearing a seizure-protecting helmet, and Rosanna Lang's image of a snowed-in car on a Japanese island. The exhibition, showcasing these diverse works, is currently on display at the Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne until August 9. This year's awards highlight the power of photography to capture diverse narratives and perspectives.
